As a sponsor, your responsibilities encompass three key phases—prior to, during, and after Confirmation:

1. Pre-Confirmation: Support the candidate in their preparation for Confirmation.

2. Confirmation Ceremony: Actively present the candidate during the Confirmation ceremony.

3. Post-Confirmation: Assist the confirmed individual in fully embracing and practicing their Christian faith.

1. You are registered and active member of a Catholic parish.

2. You are actively attending Mass and receiving Communion each week.

3. You received all Sacraments in the Catholic Church, including the Sacrament of Marriage, if you are married.

4. You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.

5. You must celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation at least once a year.

6. The sponsor must be someone other than the mother or father of the candidate.

7. Only one sponsor is required.

The deadline to turn is this documentation for 2nd Year student Sponsors is October 30, 2023.

Bring the following information to the parish CCD & Confimation Office at St Patrick Church.

Please provide originals only. Copies or emailed certificates will not be accepted.
