The sacrament of Confirmation, along with Baptism and the Eucharist are called the Sacraments of Initiation and they are the foundation of the Christian life.
In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. Our parish offers a formation program that allows your son or daughter to be prepared for the celebration of the Sacrament and empowers them to live a life of faith as they transition into mature well rounded Catholic adults.
Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John, who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit; for it had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit. - Acts 14:17
